Privacy policy

Short version: your audio never leaves your device.

Microphone and audio

Tools that use your microphone (mic test, decibel meter, spectrum analyzer, and the optional microphone modes of other tests) process the signal in your browser’s memory. Recordings you make in the mic test stay in your browser until you close the page or download them yourself. We never receive or store any audio.

Settings stored on your device

Some preferences, such as volume levels, your chosen output device and decibel meter calibration, are saved in your browser’s local storage so they’re remembered next time. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings. They are never sent to us.

Accounts, cookies and tracking

There are no accounts. We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies. We use two privacy-friendly analytics services, Numative and Cloudflare Web Analytics. They count page views and measure page speed without cookies, without identifying you, and without following you across sites. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) also processes standard technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
